The Salamander Retriever & Golden Retriever Throwbags are the benchmark for all other rescue bags. With the combination of tow tether and throw line, the 500D Cordura bag is filled with 55-feet of 5/16″ Kernmantle line with 1000 lb Polypropylene core, and has a webbing quick-release belt worn around the waist. The bag rides comfortably below your PFD and out of the way of kayak cockpits, an oh so natural fit! Popular among paddle rafters and guides who often rely on the 8′ of tether line with carabiner to quickly set up a flip line! The line is divided into a main compartment- 43′- and a tow tether section- 8′- with an anodized aluminum carabiner with stainless steel wire gate that conceals in its own pocket. This design allows for quick tows without restuffing the whole bag; safe tows with the quick release system; and fast rescues with the waist belt. A must for guides, instructors, and creek boaters.
